FDTN PARTAYYY!

aaaaaaaaaa! We had our foundation Christmas party yesterday and it was pretty epic! Sean dressed as Santa and gave us our secret Santa presents, we played pass the parcel, musical statues and the iceberg game.
I won reindeer antlers from pass the parcel! It's got me all excited for Christmas but I'm going to miss the foundation lot until we're all back in January.

Jamie Lee Stewart - "my balls have dropped big time."

Okay, so tonight I have effectively done 5 things:
- let Jamie loose around my kitchen / knives
- trashed half of the the kitchen
- broken the oven ( its been shouting at me all night )
- baked cupcakes for the fdtn group's party tomorrow
- started some typography

I think doing foundation was the best choice i've ever made, this year has been my favourite. Also, tomorrow people are going to be literally eating my typography work. Dear god.

I have created these images in response to Andy's photography brief. The original images used were of the tree we made for the installation in the cabins at college, unfortunately it is also our working space so we had to take it down eventually. The tree was made up of rolled newspaper, string, sugar paper, net and other dark material to give an eerie feel. These darker images where we had all of the windows blacked out and a single light pointed towards the tree which resulted in spooky shadows being projected onto the walls and ceiling.

These Images are by Japanese photographer Ryo Ohwada, lovelly lady Tessa suggested him for my artist research where we have been set a brief to produce images with some sort of symmetry.

Accidental Exposure?

I'm not too sure on how to start my first post so I guess I'll just speak about the arty stuff running loose in my mind at the moment:
Seeing as i haven't been in college today i thought it best not to waste the entire day in bed and so i went and took some images for the rural part of my project in Wythenshawe Park. Unfortunately, I've lost the top part of my tripod which connects it to my camera so i couldn't stay too long as it was too dark to take successful images - I'll have to pop back sometime next week in the morning to get more when it's light.
I'm thinking of adding different coloured gradients to these images to give the effect of an accidental exposure. For example when someone is using a film camera this usually happens where light has got to the film and so upon development there are parts of the image which have turned a reddy or orange colour. This can also be done purposely by opening the back of the camera very quickly whilst the film is still being used but the results are quite unpredictable. Also, none of the images in this post are mine, they have been found through google etc ect.
